Konica Minolta Healthcare Americas and Xpress CR Maintain Industry Leadership with Top Rankings from

Wayne, NJ, February 1, 2010 – Computed Radiography (CR) end-users continue to name Konica Minolta Healthcare Americas and the dual-bay Xpress CR as the best vendor and CR system, according to the latest reports from MD Buyline and KLAS Enterprises LLC. Konica Minolta has earned an unprecedented four-plus-years as the top vendor from MD Buyline and, for the second consecutive year, the Xpress CR was named “Best in KLAS” for multi-bay systems.

“Konica Minolta’s emphasis on 100% customer satisfaction with high image quality systems that offer unparalleled performance and reliability is unmatched in the industry, as evident by our continued top rankings by MD Buyline and KLAS,” says Joe Giordano, Senior Director of Marketing and Business Development. “At this year’s RSNA, Konica Minolta introduced a next-generation Xpress CR that further extends the flexibility and reliability of our leading system, and this next generation CR will likely help maintain our leadership position in the market.”

MD Buyline users first named Konica Minolta as the best CR Vendor in the third quarter of 2005. In the 2009 fourth quarter report, Konica Minolta strengthened its leadership role by earning the top ranking in all six categories, leading to the only vendor composite score over 9 on a 10-point scale.

In KLAS’ 2009 annual report on multi-bay CR, the Xpress CR was voted “Best in KLAS” with an overall performance score that exceeded all other vendors. KLAS also reported that Konica Minolta users praise the Xpress CR’s “speed of processing and superb images,” and when compared to competitive systems, users reported less downtime and higher overall throughput.

The next-generation Xpress CR 210 offers a more compact, higher performance design that includes advanced C-plate technology for a sharper, more efficient imaging process. As with prior generations, the Xpress CR provides the flexibility to separate the locations of consoles and readers for optimized productivity and a stable, simplified design with minimal moving parts and zero mechanical interaction with the imaging plate for high reliability. Konica Minolta’s innovative design also allows users to clear jammed cassettes, eliminating the need for a service call and reducing unnecessary downtime.
